Hosting and Access Logs
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. STRATO processes technical data required to deliver and secure the website, including the IP address, date and time of access, requested resource, referrer where transmitted, browser information, response status, and data volume.
This processing is necessary for the secure and reliable operation of the website and is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. STRATO acts as a processor where applicable. The access logs made available to TM1 Fanboy contain anonymized client addresses. Downloaded anonymized logs are retained indefinitely as a historical statistical record. Identifiable access logs will not be included in that permanent archive.
Research and Speaking Inquiries
When you use a form, TM1 Fanboy processes the information you provide, such as your name, email address, organization, message, source description, event information, and proposed date. The information is used only to answer the inquiry, assess research material or corrections, arrange a requested speaking engagement, and conduct necessary follow-up.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the inquiry concerns an agreement or steps before entering into one, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for correspondence, historical research, source assessment, and publication corrections. Providing the information is voluntary, but an inquiry cannot be answered without the necessary contact details.
The forms use Fluent Forms. Submissions are stored in WordPress and sent through Microsoft 365 SMTP to the controller. Only the controller has access. WordPress form entries are deleted after 90 days. If a research submission is historically significant, all information supplied may be transferred manually to the private research archive and retained for as long as it remains relevant to source assessment, attribution, or follow-up. Other correspondence is deleted when it is no longer required, subject to legal retention obligations.
Email and Service Providers
Emails are processed through Microsoft 365. The relevant European provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. Microsoft may use subprocessors or process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, Microsoft provides safeguards such as adequacy decisions or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses under its Data Protection Addendum.
STRATO and Microsoft may receive data only to the extent required to provide hosting, backup, and email services. Automatic hosting backups are overwritten according to STRATO’s backup cycle.
Cookies and External Services
TM1 Fanboy does not use additional analytics services, advertising trackers, tracking pixels, or embedded video, podcast, map, or social-media players. Fonts are hosted locally. Where WordPress uses storage or cookies that are strictly necessary for security, administration, or a service requested by the visitor, this is based on section 25(2) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
External links are not embeds. Data is transmitted to another provider only when you open the link.
Your Rights
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent with effect for the future where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
